Mai multe femei afgane au decis să riposteze talibanilor. A cestea au lansat mesaje online prin care le spun că „burqa nu a fost niciodată parte a culturii”.
Se întâmplă pe fundalul unui nou cod vestimentar impus femeilor care vor să studieze la universități, potrivit Digi24, cu referire la BBC. Așadar, afganele publică pe rețelele de socializare imagini cu rochii tradiționale folosind hashtaguri precum #DoNotTouchMyClothes și #AfghanistanCulture.
Este vorba despre rochii și basmale brodate, elementele fiind specifice zonei Afganistanului de unde provin acestea. Anterior, până la revenirea talibanilor la putere, femeile puteau purta blugi și eșerfe colorate la ore sau la muncă.
Bahar Jalali, cea care a lansat inițiativa, declară că o asemenea campanie arată lumei adevărata cultură afgană. Ea își îndeamnă conaționalele care susțin idea să se alăture după ce la Kabul mai multe femei, îmbrăcate în haine lungi și având corpul complet acoperit, au desfășurat o manifestație pentru a susține regulile noilor autorități. „Am vrut să arătăm lumii că hainele pe care le-ați văzut, purtate de femeile care au participat la mitingul pro-taliban, nu ne reprezintă cultura noastră”, susținea ea.
